Barbara Bowmaster Obituary
Barbara Lea Bowmaster, 72, of Lock Haven, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Lock Haven Hospital.
Barb was born in Lock Haven on July 29, 1946, the daughter of the late William G. and Ruth N. Bierly Bowmaster.
She was a 1964 graduate of Lock Haven High School and remained active in organizing their class reunions.
Barb drove school bus for Susquehanna Transit for over 25 years and also worked as a cook for many local restaurants.
She was a member of the McElhattan United Methodist Church, a social member of the Lock Haven Son's Of Italy and a past member of the Wayne Township Fire Company Woman's Auxiliary.
Barb enjoyed baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy S. (Todd) Connelley of McElhattan; a son, Robert W. (Sharon) Bowmaster of McElhattan; two brothers, Wayne (Betty) Bowmaster, Sr. and Paul "Butch" (Marie) Bowmaster, both of McElhattan; three grandchildren, Marshall Swanger, Robbie Bowmaster, Jr. and Sarabeth Bowmaster; five step-grandchildren, Dustin (Madison Sechrist), Austin and Nick (Andrea Schilling) Houtz, Erica (Chris) Campbell and Josh (Jessica) Connelley; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice "Sis" Dugan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Wayne Township Fire Hall, 317 Linwood Dr., McElhattan, Pa 17748 with the gathering beginning at 2p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McElhattan United Methodist Church or Wayne Township Fire Company.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.
