Alice Herman Obituary
Alice A. Herman, 86, formerly of Howard passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at UPMC Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born January 14, 1935 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Maude H. (Glossner) Yocum.
Alice was a 1957 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
After earning her degree from Williamsport School of Nursing, she served as a Registered Nurse at Lock Haven Hospital for more than 40 years.
On June 15, 1974, she married her love, Harry E. Herman, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2017.
Alice and her husband, Harry, enjoyed traveling and went on many bus trips. They also loved spending the winters camping in Florida.
Surviving is her sister, Audrey Sorgen of Swissdale as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Carl Yocum, Harold “Bud” Yocum, Dorothy Zeigler, Phyllis Polin and Byron Larue Yocum.
Private burial will take place at Rosecrans Cemetery, Loganton.
Memorial contributions in Alice’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
