Andrew Lucas Obituary

Andrew William Lucas, 63, of Blanchard, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Born on February 17, 1958 at Lock Haven Hospital, Andy grew up in Beech Creek. He was the son of the late Ellery Lucas I and Mary Winters. Andy was a 1976 graduate from Bald Eagle Nittany High School. Andy was a Marine Corp Veteran.
Throughout his life, Andy has always been a hard worker. He was a jack of all trades and seemed to be a master of all. What Andy didn't know, he would learn so he could do the job himself. While working for Allied Van Lines, he received numerous awards and certificates for being one of their safest drivers. He believed in safety first and would have frequent safety meetings with his friends. Andy was the type of man who would give to anyone in need, even when he didn't have enough himself.
Andy's hobbies included having the wind at his back and the open road in front of him while on his Harley Davidson; playing with his pups, Gabby and Wookie; spending time with his kids and grandkids; watching old western movies; and doing projects on his home.
One of his famous lines that he lived by was "At the end of the day, don't sweat the small stuff because it's just stuff."
Andy is survived by his children: Drew Lucas (Carole) of Lock Haven, Ryan Dullen of Blanchard, Christopher Lucas of Blanchard and Jolean Lucas (James) of Lock Haven; his granddaughters that were his world: Adonikah, Cheyenne, Aubri, and RyLynn; step-grandkids, Makayla and Kyle; his fiancee, September Dapp; a brother Charlie Lucas (Barbara) of Florida; and nieces, Amy Lucas-Clendenin (Nate) and Tracy Lucas of Nebraska.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents; oldest brother, Ellery Lucas II; and his best friend, Robert Mapes.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.
