Barbara Emery Obituary
Barbara Lyn Emery, 73, of Lock Haven, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Susque-View Home.
She was born in Lock Haven on June 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Evelyn “Edna” Hanna Emery, Sr.
Barb was a 1964 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She was first employed as an X-ray Technician at Lock Haven Hospital. She then worked for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce before she was elected as Clinton County’s Prothonotary Clerk of Courts, serving the county until her retirement.
She served as Treasurer for the Bald Eagle ATV club and was an avid ATV rider.
She was a member of the State of Pennsylvania Prothonotary Association.
Barb also enjoyed helping with class reunions and the Sentimental Journey Fly-Ins.
She is survived by her brother, Robert H. (Eleanor) Emery, Jr. of Alabama; a niece, Laura Lyn (Scott) Merkle of Wisconsin; a nephew, Gregory Kendall (Sarah) Emery of Mississippi; five great nieces and nephews, Aubrey and Calan Merkle and Alex, Eric and Brooke Emery; and five cousins, Beverly (Lee) Sweitzer, Pat (Merrill) Kephart, Carolyn Gamber, Bonnie (Larry) Cassel and Chuck Emery.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 9 to 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with a graveside service to follow at Dunnstown Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Memorial contributions in Barb’s name may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association, Eagle Ridge Personal Care Home or Susque-View Activities Fund.
