Barbara Jean Weaver was born April 18, 1961 in Lock Haven, PA. She passed away May 13, 2021 surrounded by her family in Sumner, WA. She was the daughter of Dorothy Snavely Weaver (deceased) and Frederick Weaver of Lock Haven.
Barbara had wanted to be a truck driver taking after her father since her high school days. She didn't get there right away, as she joined the Army out of high school, married into the Army and traveled. She was finally able to go to school for her dream job in the mid-90's. She drove cross-country early on and then drove locally until she was no longer able to. All five-foot-nothing of her, Barbara did not let her size get in the way of anything she wanted to do.
She leaves behind her daughter, Samantha (Alex) Navarro and son, Brian (Chae) Taylor, 7 grandchildren, her brothers Clyde (Carol) Weaver, Sr., Ronald (Rosemary) Snavely and Gary (Dianna) Weaver.
A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. A Graveside Service with Military Rites will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any donations be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (www.ovarian.org) in memory of Barbara.
