Betty M. Smith

Betty M. Smith, 92, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at The Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born November 24, 1932 in Loganton, she was a daughter of the late Clark Daniel and Mary (Matter) Washburn.
Betty was the last surviving member of the Sugar Valley High School graduating class of 1950.
She was married to Donald A. Smith who preceded her in death on February 13, 1999.
Betty was employed as the Office Manager for the family business, Smith Coal and Sanitary Operations. After retiring, she worked at McDonald's, Lock Haven.
She was a past member of Flemington United Methodist Church. Currently she attended Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Mill Hall, where she put her love for crocheting to work as a member of the Prayer Shaw Ministry.
Betty was an avid baseball fan.
Surviving are her children: Donald "Rocket" Smith of Altoona, Scott (Mollyann) Smith of Lock Haven, Penny Cummings of Williamsport and Mary Smith of North Dakota as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 12 Noon at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Pastor Susan Champion officiating. Interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church's Prayer Shaw Ministry through the funeral home.
