Calvin "Lou" Young

Calvin L. "Lou" Young, 72, of Beech Creek passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.
Born April 2, 1953 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Calvin and Margie (Rossman) Young.
Lou was married to the former Karin A. Litz, who preceded him in death in 2011.
He was employed as a school bus driver with Susquehanna Transit.
Lou attended Beech Creek Wesleyan Church.
When he wasn't fishing, hunting or on a mountain ride, Lou could often be found working on lawn mowers.
Most special to him, though, was the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Surviving are his children, Heather (Fred) Lomax of Flemington and Stephen (Jennifer) Young of Beech Creek; siblings: Mary, Connie, Audrey, Ken, Joe and Roger; grandchildren: Dylan Lomax, Ashley Lomax (Frankie Beaghley) and Gracie Young (Terry Hill); and great granddaughter, Akira.
In addition to his wife, Karin Young, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy and Deb.
Lou will be laid to rest at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard.
