Carson Keiser Obituary

Carson R. Keiser, Jr., 74, of Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Born July 20, 1946 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Carson R. and Virginia (Cooper) Keiser, Sr.
After graduating from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1964, Carson earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Lock Haven University and Bloomsburg University.
He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard.
On April 4, 1987, he married his best friend and love, the former Barbara R. Smith, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Carson served as an elementary school teacher in the South Williamsport School District for 30 years before retiring in 2002.
Carson was a member of McElhattan United Methodist Church.
He was also a member of the American Legion, Beech Creek.
Carson's life revolved around music. A talented guitarist and vocalist, he loved performing country and gospel music as well as providing accompaniment at square dances. Throughout the years he was a member of several groups including the Bald Eagle Ramblers, Joe Murray Band, Corrine King Band and Kels Lomison and Friends Band.
He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Barbara R. Keiser of Lock Haven, he is survived by his son, Cory Keiser (Mackenzie Levering) of Harrisburg; two sisters, Darlene Young of Bloomsburg and Kathy (Cary) Loyd of Harrisburg; and his 20-year-old furry companion, his cat Daisy.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Young; a nephew, Russ Huntsinger; and a niece, Roxanna Pletchan.
A funeral service for Carson will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745, with Rev. Jay Saldana officiating. Burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park will follow.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the McElhattan United Methodist Church or UPMC Hillman Cancer Center through the funeral home.
