Charles Reeder Obituary

Charles E. Reeder Sr., of Flemington, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, November 11, 2023, just days after his 83rd birthday.
Charles was born November 3, 1940 in Lock Haven. He was the son of the late Clayton and Gladys (Mitcheltree) Reeder.
In his youth, he enrolled in the United States Air Force after graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1961. He served for his country until 1965, bringing home many stories of his military experience.
He married his beloved wife, Jane E. Williams, in 1973. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2020, after sharing 47 years of marriage, raising 5 children, and welcoming many grandchildren as well as a few great grandchildren.
Together with his wife, Charles enjoyed traveling to New York every summer to visit family and friends.
When home, he could usually be found watching TV on his recliner with one of his pet dogs beside him. He enjoyed his wife's cooking, holidays with his children, and reading the newspaper every day.
He worked as a bus driver for Keystone Central School District for many years, eventually retiring in his 70s.
Charles is survived by 5 children: Nancy, Nadine, and Mike Devine, all of North Carolina, Craig Reeder of Harrisburg, and Charlie Reeder of Lock Haven; six grandchildren: Kristina Houseweart, Lincoln and Dominik Mauck, and Charlie, Tori, and Summer Reeder. He had 4 great-grandchildren, with a 5th set to arrive in January of 2024.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Clayton (Bud) Reeder Jr. and a sister, Frances Reeder.
