Clarence R. Reigle, 90, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at UPMC- Lock Haven.
Born May 31, 1933 in Sunbury, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary (Bonowitz) Reigle.
On October 13, 1951, he married the former Martha Stahl. They shared 23 years of marriage, having 10 children, before their divorce in 1975.
On June 26, 1976, he married the former Doris Paige, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2010.
Clarence was employed by the former Conrail and then Norfolk Southern as a Rail Inspector Foreman.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Elks, Moose, 40 & 8 and American Legion, all of Lock Haven, V.F.W. of Jersey Shore, Eagles of Sunbury, Castanea Fire Hall, Gesang Verein Harmonia of Williamsport and Belle Springs Country Club.
In his younger years, he could often be found bowling. Clarence was an avid golfer and loved travelling. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.
The children his neighbor babysat were always excited to find "lollipops from Charlie" that he lovingly snuck inside the newspaper.
Most important to him, though, was the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are his children: Michael (Shirley) Reigle of Sunbury, David Reigle, Sr. of Kreamer, Marsha Fanning (Len Konopski) of Coal Twp., James (Carolyn) Reigle of Illinois, Gail Meixel of McElhattan, Dale (Carol) Reigle of Mt. Carmel, Scott Reigle of Kentucky, Dennis (Wendy) Reigle of Kreamer and Angie (Jared) Riches of Kreamer; a step-daughter, Pamela (Randy) Grenninger of Yeagertown; a daughter-in-law, Doris Reigle of Texas; a sister, Martha Sue Houser; 35 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; and 29 great, great grandchildren.
