Clyde R. Rogers, 91, of Lamar and formerly of Sugar Valley, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at his home.
Born November 21, 1934, he was a son of the late Thomas and Daisy Rogers.
On June 9, 1956, he married his love, the former Ruth L. Karchner, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2015.
Clyde was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He then transferred to Reserves, retiring after over 20 years of service.
He was employed by Piper Aircraft and then worked for Ingram's, managing the gas stations.
Clyde enjoyed woodworking and loved to mow the grass. He also cherished his "two girls," his cats.
Surviving are his son, Jeffrey Rogers of Lamar; daughter-in-law, Regina Rogers of McElhattan; sister, Ella Quiggle of Oklahoma; grandchildren: Lynnette, Jeremiah and Sean Rogers; and great grandchildren: Angel, Dylan, Quincy and Lawren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ruth Rogers, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Rogers as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at the convenience of his family.
