Dale A. Phillips

Dale A. Phillips, 88, of Blanchard passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Heartland Retirement Home, Woolrich.
He was born March 4, 1936 in Lock Haven.
On February 5, 1958, he married the former Ruth M. Butler, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage before her passing in 2018.
Dale proudly served in the National Guard.
Dale was employed by HRI, Inc., retiring in 1998.
He was a 65-year member of the Local 66 Heavy Equipment Operators Union.
Dale was also a member of the Beech Creek American Legion.
He enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with his grandkids.
Surviving is his great grandson, Gavin (Madison) Young of Woolrich; great, great grandsons, Cohen Hollobaugh and Carson Young; and sister, Claudine Dunlap of Beech Creek.
In addition to his wife, Ruth Phillips and parents, Russell and Frances McCloskey, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Debra Young and Kimberly Phillips and grandson, Justin Young.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11 AM at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.
