David Bower Obituary
David E. Bower, Sr., 76, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation, Montoursville.
David was born June 13, 1944 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Bartholomew) Bower.
David married Betty I. (Feidler) Bower on November 19, 1965, who survives at home.
He served in the United States Army and was active in the Drum and Bugle Corps.
David worked most of his life as a construction worker, retiring from Nestlerode Contracting Company.
He enjoyed playing music and used his talent to play "Taps" for the local American Legion.
David was a member of the Castanea Fire Hall where he was on both the men’s and mixed pool league teams.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing with his brothers, Kevin and Butch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: David E. (Shelly) Bower, Jr. of Mill Hall and Donna R. (Tim) Myers and Cathy (Todd Wagner) Bower, both of Lock Haven; six grandchildren: David Bower, III, Justin Bower, Hailie Connor, Sierra Myers, Zoe Bower and Teilo Wagner; a sister, Susan (Heaton) Fox; and three brothers: Raymond “Butch” Bower, Kevin Bower and Tommy Bower.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel Rose Feidler; a sister, Elenor “Cookie” Tagliaboski; and a brother, Denny Bower.
A private gathering will be held at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
