Dorothy K. Walker

Dorothy K. Walker, 89, of Loganton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Geisinger, Jersey Shore.
Born July 9, 1935 in Antes Fort, she was a daughter of the late William and Ellen Rogers.
Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. Later that year, she married her love, Calvin C. Walker, who preceded her in death in 1999.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
A lover of all-things nature, Dorothy especially delighted in gardening, birdwatching and stargazing.
Most of all, she adored her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca Walker of Loganton; a brother, Richard (Lois) Rogers of Mill Hall; five grandchildren: Heidi (Tyler) Heverly, Heather Lesser, Torrie (Jen) Lesser, MaryLu (Jason) Sanders and Shawn (Christine) Pursel; 17 great grandchildren; and 8 great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Paula Pursel and Judith Lesser; four brothers: William, Robert, Vernard and Thomas Rogers; and three sisters: Ada Young, Mamie Scarborough and Betty Cross.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745. Interment will follow at Rosecrans Cemetery, Loganton.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
