Elaine Connor Obituary

Elaine Mae Connor, 87, of Lock Haven, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Haven Place, Lock Haven, PA.
Elaine was born in Lock Haven (Woodward Township) to the late Lawerence Peddigree and Florence Mae (Reeder) Peddigree on December 14, 1935. She is the wife of Harry James Connor, who survives her.
In July of 1954, Elaine married Harry James Connor in New Mexico. Harry was in the United States Air Force. In August of 1955, their marriage was blessed at St. Patrick's Cathedral in El Paso, TX.
Elaine enjoyed and adored her children and was a beloved Nanny to all her grandchildren.
She loved reading a good book. She loved music, dancing, singing, and cooking for her family. She loved shopping, and she would check out every aisle. She loved crafting and making decorations at Christmas with her children and grandchildren. Elaine was caring to all and always a kind word to anyone she meant - she had the biggest heart, full of love.
Elaine was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, St. Agnes Choir, and Court Ava Marie - Catholic Daughters of America. In her younger years, Elaine and her husband were Democratic Chairman and Chairwoman for the
4th District of Clinton County. Elaine volunteered at St. Agnes Catholic Grade School, IC Catholic School as a Playground Monitor, and Susque View Home helping residents to the chapel for Mass. Harry and Elaine were escorts for The Fresh Air Children's Program. They also welcomed into their family of six children, one of the Fresh Air kids, to stay with them through the summer.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by sisters Delores Peck, Lucille Peck, Roberta McGhee, Janet Peddigree, Patricia Peddigree, Rosemary Peters, Anna Swarm, and Evelyn Taylor; brothers Lawrence Peddigree and Torrence Peddigree. Son-in-Law Gerald (Jerry) Bowes.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harry James Connor, daughters, Belinda (John) Dworak of Omaha, NE, Pamela Bowes, Teresa (David) Hettich of Sun City Center, FL, Tina (John) Myers, Mary (Calvin) Winner and son, Harry (Janie) Connor of Conroe, TX; her grandchildren who knew her as "Nanny", Chelsey Garey, Christina Egan, Jacqueline Plessinger, Jessica Lewis, Mellissa Hettich, Nicole Hettich, Michael Connor, Michelle Fahsbender, Jennifer Raymond, Matthew Winner, Brandon Han Li, and Hailie Breauchy; great-grandchildren: Madison Schaefer, Alex Schaefer, Mason Garey, Lincoln Garey, Andrew Egan, Aidan Connor, Gabrielle Connor, Liam Connor, Scarlett Campbell, Leann Campbell, Cameron Raymond, Maddox Raymond, Eli Raymond, Molly Winner, and Max Winner; her sisters, Debra Truax and Sandra Yost; and her brothers, Jerry Peddigree and Gregory Peddigree.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 12 P.M., at St. Agnes Church, 3 East Walnut Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745, with Rev. Father Joseph Orr officiating. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Family and friends will be received for a time of viewing on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745.
Memorial contributions in Elaine's name may be made through the funeral home to the Lock Haven Catholic School Endowment Fund or the Lock Haven YMCA.
