Frederick Joel Gundlach, Sr.

Frederick Joel Gundlach, Sr., 65, of Beech Creek passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 at his home.
Fred was born in Lock Haven on January 8, 1959.
He was a 1977 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
On May 4, 1985, he married his love, the former Penny L. Page, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Fred was co-owner of Puff Discount.
He was a former member of the Beech Creek American Legion and Castanea Fire Hall.
Fred served as President of Beech Creek Little League while his son played.
Whether sports cars, boats or snowmobiles, he loved going fast!
Fred cherished the time he spent with family at camp, the river lot and beach house in Lewes, Delaware.
His grandsons, Frederick, III and Maxwell, were his pride and joy. There was nothing he loved more than being their #1 fan at youth hockey, baseball and any other sport his grandsons picked up.
In addition to his wife, Penny Gundlach of Beech Creek, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Frederick J. and Samantha Gundlach, Jr. of Lock Haven; grandsons, Frederick, III and Maxwell Gundlach; sister, Sherry (Denny) McClure of Beech Creek; brother, Ken (Sally) Regel of Mill Hall; brothers-in-law: William (Erma) Page, Robert (Melinda) Page and Dale (Danille) Page; and sisters-in-law: Carolyn Page and Hilde Page.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Michelle (Rob) Boyce, Nate Regel, Rich (Mandy) Regel, John (Chelsea) Regel; Klaus Page, Sabina Page, Brenda Cole, Kathy Tillotson, Billy Page, Teresa Ayers, Steven Bozich, Cody Page, Jessie Page, Angela Page, DJ Page, Joann Ham, Jack Page, Ryan Turner, Nathan Turner and Danny Putnam as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 6 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745. Private inurnment will be at Hayes Fearon Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 PM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Fred's name may be made to Woolrich Little League through the funeral home.
