Gary Blackwell Obituary
Gary Robert Blackwell, 75, of Beech Creek, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at UPMC Lock Haven Hospital.
Born April 29, 1946 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Raymond G. and Florence A. Seitzer Blackwell.
Gary was a graduate of Williamsport High School.
In 1968, Gary enlisted in the United States Navy, serving until his honorable discharge in 1974.
On December 12, 1981, Gary married the former Cecilia A. Falls, who preceded him in death November 11, 2018.
He was employed as a truck driver throughout his entire working career.
Gary loved his time spent with his family and enjoyed the outdoors - especially hunting, fishing, bird watching and going on mountain rides.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Ted) Parker of Beech Creek and Tina (Lorin) Yarnell of Woolrich; a sister, Diann Lynn Serlin-Blackwell of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Frank W. Shope; and a sister, Cindy Rae (Dennis) Powers.
A Graveside Memorial Service with Veteran's Honors will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1024 Mackeyville Rd., Mill Hall, PA 17751 with Pastor Chris Davis officiating.
