Kimberly Kay McDermit, 59, of Lock Haven, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Hospital.
Born October 27, 1961 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Marsden and Leona Cowher Condo.
Kim was a 1979 graduate of Lock Haven High School and enjoyed remaining active with her class functions over the years.
She was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant with many providers over her career with her longest tenure being with Williamsport Hospital. Her last work placement was with PRN Home Health Services of Williamsport.
On May 19, 2012 in Lock Haven, Kim married Gregory A. McDermit, who survives.
She attended Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church of Mill Hall.
Kim enjoyed doing crafts, especially creating custom macramé lawn chairs and scrapbooking. She was also an avid sewer and always happy to assist her friends and family with their sewing repairs.
In addition to her husband, Greg, she is survived by two sons, Charles "Chip" E. Gross, IV of Renovo and Scott A. Gross of Avis; two step-sons, Shawn (Ashley) McDermit and Ryan McDermit, both of South Carolina; four siblings, Candy (Charlie) Cartwright of Trout Run, Deb (Jim) Moore of Mill Hall, John (Terri) Condo of Flemington and Wayne Condo of Mill Hall; her best friend and sister-at-heart, Cindy Fulkerson of Trout Run; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. "Chuck" Gross, III.
A Celebration of Kim's Life will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 3 P.M. at the Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church, 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall, PA 17751 with Rev. Scott Garman officiating.
Friends and family will be received for a time of visitation on Sunday at the church from 2 P.M. until the time of the service.
COVID protocols with mandatory masks and social distancing will be implemented.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Heights BIC Church.
