Larry Andrus Obituary
Larry Russell Andrus, 63, of Lock Haven, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.
Born February 18, 1962 in Lock Haven to the late Donald Andrus, Sr. and Anna Rupert (Frank) Meskell, Larry was raised in Beech Creek.
Larry attended Bald Eagle Nittany High School. He began working in the construction industry in his teenage years, working for many different contractors over his career. He was proud to have helped construct the Lock Haven Dike Levee in the early 90's.
Larry had a passion for the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, mountain rides and camping - and had a "green thumb" for his plants! Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family, especially teaching his grandkids how to hunt and fish.
On April 11, 2025, after 15 years of companionship, Larry married the love of his life, the former Juanita Cummings, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Josh Andrus of Williamsport, Vanessa (Butch) Halterman of Lock Haven, Jessica (Darryl) Cummings of Mill Hall and Jasmine Crissman of Lock Haven; six siblings, Anna (Gary) Bathurst of Blanchard, Pearl (Ashley) Gardner of Blanchard, Mary (Gary Taylor) Laubscher of Lock Haven, Melody (Daniel) Bryan of Florida, Ethan (Bonnie) Andrus of Florida and Winna Andrus of Lock Haven; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren with two expected; several nieces and nephews; and his dog and companion, Diesel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan and Irvin Bowmaster; and two brothers, Frank Meskell, Jr. and Donald Andrus, Jr.
A time of viewing will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
