Obituary

L. Gail Monk, 85, of Loganton, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home in Loganton.
Born June 19, 1937 in Logan Mills, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Lela Greninger Ilgen.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sugar Valley High School.
On June 11, 1955, she married Charles I. Monk, Sr., who preceded her in death August 5, 2014.
Gail was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Tylersville.
She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed crafting.
She is survived by a son, Charles I. Monk, Jr. of Loganton; a daughter, Kathie R. (Dave) Spotts of Loganton; a sister, Arius Conoway of Loganton; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren with another expected in August.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian E. Monk; two brothers, Daniel and Perry Ilgen; and a sister, Edna Ilgen Grove.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
