Lois E. Shawley

Lois E. Shawley passed away peacefully with her son and daughter by her side on December 25, 2025 at Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born in Monument, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Edna (Bechdel) Etters. Their family later moved to Beech Creek.
After graduating from Lock Haven High School, she married Roy C. Shawley and then became mother to Dennis and Letitia (Tish).
Lois worked at the former Bobbie Brooks, Lock Haven and then did general house cleaning for a few elderly neighbors.
She was Methodist by faith.
Surviving are her children, Denny and Tish; two grandsons, Joseph (Bailey) Shawley and David (Gina) Shawley; three great grandsons: Nathan, Owen and Elliott; a sister, Shirley Seyler; and a brother, James Etters.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Mary Hanley, Beverly Rupert, Relda Kinley, Dorothy Askins and Carol Rupert and brothers: Raymond, Lloyd, Richard and Robert Etters.
Per Lois' wishes, there will be no services.
Her family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Haven Place for the care Lois received.
