Margaret (Royer) Matter

Margaret Matter, 83, of Mill Hall, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 2, 1940 in Mill Hall, she was the daughter of the late Gershon and Kathryn Albright Royer.
Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
In 1967, she married John F. Matter, who survives.
Margaret was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills for a short time before devoting her life to raising her family.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mill Hall.
Margaret enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Leann M. (John) Li and Rodney (Samantha) Matter; eight grandchildren: Michala Matter, Tresa Matter, Katie Li, Nathaniel Li, Brendan Li, Andy Garrick, Brandon Stiver and Jamie Stiver; and one great-grandson, Kanden Rudy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Stiver; and a brother, John Royer.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family.
Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
