Mary Louise Rooney

Mary Louise "Mame" Rooney, 80, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at UPMC, Williamsport.
Born January 19, 1945 in Renovo, she was the only child of the late Francis T. and Louise (Alterio) Marino.
Mame was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
On August 27, 1966, she married Robert E. "Butch" Rooney, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2023.
Mame was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church.
She was also a member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy.
Mame was a happy soul who found joy in laughter.
She cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and especially looked forward to gatherings with her cousins.
Surviving is her daughter, Heather (Robert L.) Rooney-George of Lock Haven; two grandchildren, Dr. Robert "Bobby" George of Bellefonte and Sophia George of Lock Haven; and several cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nicole Rooney.
Mame's family wishes to give a special thanks to her cousin, Patti Bechdel, for always being there for their family.
Private interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Renovo.
