Michael Ernest Barzona, 91, of Flemington passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 after a brief stay at UPMC Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born May 23, 1929 in Lock Haven, he was the last living child of the late Genaro and Mary Barzona.
Ernie was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.
He proudly served in the United States Army.
On August 7, 1952, he married his love, the former Nellie Elaine Marsh, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage before her passing on May 29, 2020.
Ernie was employed as a Sign Foreman for PennDot until his retirement.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church and a former member of the Sons of Italy.
Ernie enjoyed painting, creating 3-D art and building model airplanes. He loved gardening. Most cherished, though, was the time he spent with his family.
Surviving is his daughter, Toni (Kevin) Miller of Lock Haven; his grandson, Jeremy (Danielle) Miller; a great grandson, Lucius; two step-great grandchildren, Ethen and Reyna; and a great, great grandson, Jaxon.
A Graveside Service with Military Rites will take place on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2 PM at Woolrich Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
