Michael Ray Watkins, 62, of North Bend, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born January 25, 1961 in Lock Haven, he was born the son of the late James Watkins and Edna J. Mincer and raised by his late parents, Lenora and Harry Haugh.
Mike was a devoted truck driver for many years and was currently employed by Smith Excavating of Renovo.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a collector of cars and always looked forward to watching the annual Barret-Jackson Car Auction. Mike had a special relationship with his loving dog and close companion, Sadie Mae.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sierra Watkins of Julian and Chante' Viator of Louisiana; five siblings: his twin sister, Caroline (David) Eisenhower of Lock Haven, Mary Kay Probst of Lock Haven, Cindy (Gary) Leitch of Mill Hall, Donna Smith of Lock Haven and James Watkins, Jr. of Monument; seven grandchildren: Kya, Reece, Dallas, Gabriel, Montana, Indira and Ty'r; a great grandson, Jasper; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Gordon Mincer, Carol Gray, Virginia Gundlach and Charlotte Gonzales.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be announced at a later date.
