Richard Moore Obituary

Richard "Dick" Moore, Sr., 82, of Mill Hall, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.
Born August 1, 1942 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late Warren and Dorothy Miller Moore.
Dick was employed at Piper Aircraft for several years before going to work for High Steel of Williamsport until his retirement. Following retirement, he worked locally for Gas Well Services.
He was a member of the Castanea Fire Hall, Lock Haven Sons of Italy and Lock Haven 40 & 8.
Dick enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and going on mountain rides. He was an avid football fan of Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed watching westerns and cookouts with his family.
Dick is survived by his wife, the former Trudy Fryer of Mill Hall; five children, Richard (Barb) Moore, Jr. of Avis, Melody (Karl) Steckenfinger of Jersey Shore, Lisa (Ron) Henry of Jersey Shore, Tim (Deb) Moore, Sr. of Lock Haven and Clay (Michelle) Moore of Castanea; three step-children, William (Wendy) Coyle of Williamsport, Kelli (Steve) Chatham of Mill Hall and Cathy Leathers of Bellefonte; two siblings, Georgie (Bill) Bower of Florida and Wilbur (Connie) Moore of Jersey Shore; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and sixteen step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph "Buck" Moore; a grandson, Timothy "TJ" Moore, Jr.; a cousin, Dick McKinney; a step-daughter, Becky Gett; and one step-grandchild.
A celebration of Dick's life will be held at a later date.
