Richard R. Ziegler

Richard R. Ziegler, 96, of Lock Haven passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.
Born March 18, 1929 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Raymond A. and Marion V. Kramer Ziegler.
Dick was a 1948 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, earning the rank of Sergeant.
On February 11, 1953, he married the former Margaret "Peg" Shearer, who survives. Together, they shared 72 years of marriage.
Dick was employed at Piper Aircraft as a test pilot. He then served with the New York State Police, retiring in 1985, after which he worked for the Lock Haven City Police Department.
He was a longtime member of Crystal Springs Hunting Club where he enjoyed spending time at the camp as well as hunting.
Dick also enjoyed tinkering in his garage.
In addition to his wife, Peg Ziegler of Lock Haven, he is survived by a grandson, Benjamin Ziegler and three great grandchildren: Jadalynne, Jasmine and Jaron Ziegler.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John R. Ziegler and a brother, William Zielger.
Private services with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of his family.
