Sandra Renee Barnard Sheasley, born April 12, 1937, peacefully went home to be with her Savior, Jesus, on Thursday, June 19, 2025
Sandy was the wife of Mikel M. Sheasley of Mill Hall. They were united in marriage on August 2, 1958. Together they had two sons and two grandchildren: their oldest son, Trent Sheasley, and his wife Sondy of Mill Hall and their daughter, Sieara Sheasley, their oldest grandchild and their youngest son, Jared Sheasley of Jersey Shore and his son, their grandson, Jared, Jr. (JJ).
She was the daughter of the late Harry and Margie Hartman Barnard. Sandy had two older sisters, Bernadine Dunlap and Jeanette Miller as well as a brother-in-law, David (Candy) Sheasley.
Sandy earned her RN in York. Early in her career, she served as an OB Nurse. She then spent the last 18 years of her nursing career as an Elks Traveling Nurse, caring for disabled children in Clinton, Centre and Lycoming Counties. Sandy absolutely loved caring for the children and families that were under her care.
She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Mikel. They had a mutual enjoyment of hunting rocks & minerals, building an amazing collection together. They also shared a love of helping people, traveling to the Dominican Republic on mission trips as well as trips within the United States to help rebuild areas devastated from disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
Although Sandy enjoyed all these adventures with Mikel, nothing meant more to her than the family they built together. To her, the greatest achievement was being a Godly Woman, Wife, Mom and Grandmother (aka Nana & Nan).
Sandy was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and faithfully attended Beech Creek Wesleyan Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2 PM with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.
