Scott Galanos, 57, of Lock Haven passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Born October 16, 1966 in Reading, he was the son of the late Frederick and Marcia (Lawrence) Galanos.
Scott was a 1984 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School where he was a part of the vo-tech program.
He was employed as a painter, most recently being employed by Foreman Painting.
Scott was a member of OFHL Camp in Forest County, Cushion Peak Rod and Gun Club and Lincoln Park.
He was a true outdoorsman and survivalist, enjoying hunting, camping and backpacking the Appalachian with his lifelong friend, Stan Dziamba.
Scott was a talented woodworker who loved Jerry Garcia and listening to Grateful Dead.
Surviving is his wife, April Guistwite of Lock Haven; daughter, Ashley Galanos and her spouse, Tyler Shuman, of Reading; step-daughters, Samantha Guistwite of Wernersville and Tara Deland of Kenhorst; sister, Sheri Hoover of Philadelphia; and eight grandchildren: Savannah, Carson, Hunter, Haizley, Trent, Sadie, Aniya and Jeffrey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 3 until 6 PM at Cushion Peak Rod & Gun Club, 180 Vinemont Rd., Reinholds, PA 17569.
Arrangements are under the direction of Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven.
