Shawn David Miller, 48, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at JFK Hospital, Atlantis, FL..
Born September 29, 1974 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Thomas M. (Linda) Miller and Virginia S. (Thomas) Confer Staib, both of Lock Haven.
Shawn was a 1992 graduate of Lock Haven High School and obtained his Bachelors degree in Teaching from Slippery Rock University, graduating in 1996.
In 1998, Shawn relocated to Florida and began teaching at the Bak School of Arts in Palm Beach County where he was a devoted eighth grade English Language Arts teacher. He also served as the schools head softball coach for many years. In addition to his time teaching, Shawn worked on the side for many different catering companies.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his four loving children, Katelyn, Luke, Ben and Troy Miller, all of Florida; two brothers, Shane Miller and Ronald Pletcher, both of Lock Haven; and two step-brothers, Paul T. Staib, Jr. of Texas and Ryan Morgan of State College.
Shawn was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Charles "PC" Staib.
Shawn's service will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 for the purpose of establishing trust funds for Shawn's children.
