William E. "Bill" Mundy, 61, of Avis, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
Born in Williamsport on June 7, 1963, Bill was the son of the late Carl R. Mundy, Jr. and Barbara Munsell Mundy, who survives in Canton.
Bill was a 1981 graduate of South Williamsport High School. He began working as an automobile mechanic as a teenager and later started his own business, the Toy Box Garage, where he served many for several years. In recent time, he owned and operated his own logging business, Bill Mundy Trucking.
On August 10, 1991 in Rote, he married the former Tammy Marie Wells, who survives in Avis.
Bill enjoyed the outdoors, especially farming and hunting. He was a past body builder and enjoyed shooting pool in his earlier years. Beyond all, he had a true passion and love for drag racing and enjoyed his many trips to the Beaver Springs Dragway.
In addition to his wife and mother, Bill is survived by two daughters, Tasha (Travis) Hendershot of Howard and Aryanna (Austin Keenum) Mundy of Avis; two siblings, Tina (Jeff) Ragan of Ogdensburg and Robert (Angie) Mundy of Canton; and many other relatives.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl R. Mundy, III.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
Memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made payable to the funeral home to be used for the forthcoming Bill Mundy Memorial Race at Beaver Springs.
