Yvonne Gisele Montarsi, 97, of Lock Haven passed away at her home on June 28, 2020 surrounded by family.
Born March 31, 1923 in France, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Clemence (Cools) Valada.
On September 21, 1945 in Paris, France, she married Francis J. “Monty” Montarsi, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage before his passing on January 10, 1992.
Gisele was employed by the Lock Haven Express for 15 years.
For many years she owned a yarn shop on Main Street, Lock Haven.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Gisele was also a former member of Senior Circle.
Surviving is a son, Francis E. "Monk" (Emily) Montarsi of Mill Hall; a brother, Claude Valada of France; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne B. Peters; a son, Stephen M. Montarsi; and two sisters, Raymonde Sanchez and Simone Maury.
A private service will be held at the convenience of her family. Inurnment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Contributions in Gisele’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the funeral home.
